For 20 years, Andrea Laine has worked in the legal field across several practice areas and jurisdictions, as a legal assistant and paralegal.
In her legal assistant days, Andrea gained experience in plaintiff’s cases as well as in estates and probate, bankruptcy and real estate law.
She assisted attorneys practicing railroad defense, insurance defense and federal criminal defense under the Criminal Justice Act.
As a paralegal, Andrea spent five years in Boise, Idaho, providing legal support to an attorney who primarily practiced worker’s compensation
insurance defense before serving as a civil paralegal at the Missoula County Attorney’s Office for five years — an experience that included taking
matters to a jury for a coroner’s inquest. She has supported a large number of attorneys and working cases in both state and federal courts across
the country. This breadth of experience, along with her hardworking nature and compassion, make her an invaluable and respected addition to McFarland Molloy & Duerk.
As a vegetarian and animal lover, Andrea has rehomed and rescued several pets in need of loving homes and veterinary care, and she regularly supports
organizations dedicated to animal welfare, such as the Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida, and the Humane Society. When she’s not in the office, Andrea
spends as much time as possible with her daughter and enjoying Montana’s outdoors: hiking, swimming, running, biking, backpacking, birding, river rafting and floating.
